Semi-Homemade Chicken and Dumplings

  • 1 Can White Meat Chicken (12.5 Oz) Drained
  • 1.5 Cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables Or 1 Can Mixed Vegetables, Drained
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 Can Jumbo Biscuits Buttermilk
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste


  • Preheat your oven to 350°.
  • Drain your canned chicken, dump into the bottom of your medium sized baking dish and shred using a small spatula.
  • Add your mixed vegetables to the baking dish.
  • Heat your chicken broth, to warm, but not boiling, in the microwave.
  • Whisk the flour into the chicken broth.
  • Once it is well mixed pour it on top of the chicken and vegetable mixture. Stir well.
  • Quarter your biscuits and place them on top of your chicken and vegetable mixture in a single layer.
  • Cook at 350° for 20 minutes covered with aluminum foil. Then remove the foil and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
