An Easy Cheese Sauce For Any Party

There is nothing that brings back child hood much like nachos and cheese for me! From sitting at a basketball game or a snack at the soccer field, nachos and cheese were always a favorite go to my best friend and myself. This game day cheese sauce recipe allows me to have that experience at home. The best part is, there isn’t much effort involved since it is an easy set it and forget it Crock Pot recipe!

Starting with gathering all of your ingredients and a small slow cooker. I found the 2 qt Crock Pot to be the perfect size for this recipe. Then dump in the evaporated milk, shredded cheeses, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and flour. The flour will act as a thickener, this could also be replaced with corn starch. Place the Crock Pot on low for 60-90 minutes.

Once the cheese appears melted whisk the cheese sauce until smooth, it will be thick, add in milk until desired consistency. I used approx 1/2 cup. You could use more or less for thicker or thinner cheese sauce.

Enjoy your game day cheese sauce either on nachos, chili cheese dogs, or any way you like it. Please share your other ideas on how to eat it below!

This sauce is perfect for making not only nachos, but also chili cheese dogs. You can find my chili recipe here! You can also try adding the chili to nachos for chili cheese nachos. These recipes combined make a great addition to your game day spread and give a great base to any hot dog or nacho bar!
