Traditionally I have always made ketchup or tomato based Sloppy Joes. I had never even thought of having a BBQ based sloppy Joe until I met my husband and it was the only type he enjoyed! These Slow Cooker BBQ Sloppy Joes have been a crowd pleaser at several carry -ins since and are always a hit at home! The best parts about this recipe are it is SUPER easy and it also only has 3 ingredients!
Preparation and Cooking
To begin making your Slow Cooker BBQ Sloppy Joes; start with browning your ground beef. You can use any method you prefer. Many stick with the traditional stove top method, but I like to use a steam container in the microwave to minimize the kitchen mess.
Then drain your browned ground beef prior to adding it to your slow cooker. Continue by adding in your BBQ sauce and brown sugar. Mix well, you will notice the brown sugar melts into the BBQ sauce with the heat of the ground beef.
Melting the brown sugar into the BBQ sauce will prevent your slow cooker from getting a sticky ring around it while cooking.

Then place your slow cooker on low for 4 hours.
Stir well and enjoy your wonderful BBQ Sloppy Joes!
If your in a hurry— you can make these Sloppy Joes by simmering the mixture on the stove over low to medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
