      Hi everyone!

So where to start? I’ve finally decided to take the plunge into blogging even though I’ve contemplated it for a while now. I’m a wife, mother, aunt, and paramedic. I love to cook, more specifically for family gatherings and I often make up my own variations on recipes I find on Pinterest or in cookbooks to meet what I have on hand at home or my families taste. I make a lot from scratch, but also use a few short cuts since I am a working mom.

I have picky eaters in my house, so if you’re looking for gourmet cooking your probably in the wrong location. We are a farm family that also values serving our community as first responders so making sure I have ingredients for quick meals on hand is also important.

I look forward to sharing my holiday recipes with you over the next few weeks as we head into holiday season. We also have several birthdays coming up so watch out for some awesome family meals!

Saturday mornings are for meal prepping and baking— I made a wonderful creamy cheese tortellini, 2 kinds of sloppy Joe and banana muffins along with some hard boiled eggs for breakfast this morning all in about 2 hours! I would call that a successful start to next week! #mealprepday #mealprepping #easymeals #yumm #packinglunch #italianforlunch #easyrecipes
This Chicken Pot Pie Soup is amazing and easy to cook up in your instant pot. Prepped and ready in 45 minutes filled with a mixture of frozen and fresh ingredients!
Chicken Pot Pie Soup— an amazing adjusted recipe that is perfect for a cold winter night! Look for the recipe to post in the next few days and for better pictures eventually — but I had to let you all know this was coming!!
Today was another baking and cooking day! I made this fabulous chex mix that is my Great Grandmothers recipe, made with chili powder for a little kick! I also was able to find some awesome pretzel balls to use in it, but pretzel sticks work just as well! Now I’m cooking up some yummy ham and potato soup for my lunches this week!
