      cinnamon and sugar party pretzels

With things being so different this year, once of the many things I have missed so much are those little mini cinnamon and sugar donuts from the fair! These cinnamon and sugar party pretzels have hit the spot a few times this summer with the sweet and saltiness together it is the perfect pair. Plus they are simple to make!

Preparation of Cinnamon and Sugar Party Pretzels

Begin with preheating your oven to 300°.

Then dump your pretzels into a large mixing bowl. Pour over your butter flavored popcorn popping oil and mix well until all pretzels appear to be covered.

Continue with sprinkling over the granulated white sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well until all pretzels appear covered with the sugar solution.

Mixing in cinnamon and sugar to the pretzels.

Spread your pretzels out evenly on a jelly roll, sheet cake pan, or cookie sheet with sides. You can also use a 9×13 pan if you don’t have any of the others available, but I would suggest baking your pretzels slightly longer if you go this route.

      Baking

Bake your pretzels at 300° for 30 minutes. Makes sure to stir your pretzels every 10 minutes to make sure they do not burn or stick to the bottom of the pan.

Let your pretzels cool for 30-60 minutes before placing them in an airtight container for storage.

Easy Cream Cheese Frosted Pumpkin Spice Cake

Every September I get the itch to start making lots of fall recipes! It is my favorite season to bake and cook lots of different fall themed things. Several years ago I created this Easy Cream Cheese Frosted Pumpkin Spice Cake recipe and I have been fine tuning it ever since! No matter how I make it , it always disappears when I take it in to work for them to taste test! This recipe is by far my favorite variation!

Preparation Of Frosted Pumpkin Spice Cake

Begin with preheating your oven to 350°.

Then start with making your cake batter by combining the spice cake mix, can of 100% pumpkin, eggs and water. Mix well, there will be some small lumps.

Continue with spreading your cake batter in a greased medium sized sheet pan or jelly roll pan.

      Baking

Then place your cake pan in the oven and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes. You will be able to tell your cake has completed baking when you can remove a knife or tooth pick from the center of the cake cleanly.

      Creating Your Cream Cheese Frosting

Let your cake cool for approximately 1-2 hours before creating your frosting.

Once your cake is cooled, begin with softening your cream cheese in the microwave (use the soften setting) you can also leave your cream cheese out for 20-30 minutes instead of using the microwave.

Then use a stand or hand mixer to mix your softened cream cheese, cinnamon and vanilla together. Continue with adding in 1 cup at a time of your powdered sugar until all 3 cups are added. Mix well, there should be no lumps from the powdered sugar remaining.

      Cream Cheese Frosting

Once your frosting is well mixed, spread the frosting evenly over your pumpkin spice cake.

After your cake is frosted keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat! This will prevent your frosting from spoiling and getting melty.
